What the petition asks
Reward of a medal in recognition of the phenomenal service provided by London emergency services to all those involved in the summer 2017 London terrorist incidents, including emergency responders as well as investigation teams and counter terrorism officers.
The London summer of 2017, has seen an unprecedented threat from terrorism, with attacks on Westminster Bridge, London Bridge & Borough Market, Finsbury Park, police officers close to Buckingham Palace and a London Underground train. The response of emergency services has been exceptional. This outstanding service to public/country has been publically recognised by the Prime Minster, the Mayor of London, and the Home secretary who rightly quantified that “there has been no summer like it”.
