A referendum on the ‘Foreign Aid Budget’

Closed 406 signatures

What the petition asks

There are continuous debates on the use of the Foreign Aid Budget, from many different sides. Lets have the people that earn / provide the money decide how it should be used, if we are to have one at all.
I suggest four choices: (5th if we use remaining monies for Elderly Care)
1. Change nothing maintain the 0.7% of GDP on overseas aid
2. Use monies to bring all public workers in line with current inflation; ban the government on using the 0.7% of GDP for anything else & all remaining monies to be ‘Foreign Aid Budget’
3. Use monies to bring all public workers in line with current inflation; ban the government using the 0.7% of GDP all remaining monies to be spent on replacing the EU subsidies, based upon % share of monies provided by the EU
4. No Foreign Aid Budget
