Petition · past parliament

We the undersigned demand that government act to deal with Islamic terror.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Islamic terrorists carry out an attack, and we're told to carry on as usual. We demand action. It is not acceptable to ignore this anymore. Government must act to cut this cancer from our midst. The safety of our children must be placed above all else.
There are reported to be several thousand extremists on watch lists. We demand that all foreign nationals on such watch lists, be invited to leave the uk, never to return, using dna samples to ensure they never return, or they be detained indefinatey until such time as Islamic terrorism no longer poses a threat.

We have turned an blind eye to too much for too long. Now we demand government act tangibly to end the threat we face.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We're not sure what action you'd like the UK Government or Parliament to take. The Government is taking various actions to counter terrorism, detailed in the Home Secretary's statement in June. You can read the statement here: https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/home-secretary-statement-on-recent-terrorist-attacks

The Government already has the power to deport people when the Home Secretary has decided that their removal from the country is 'conducive to the public good'. A court can also recommend deportation if someone is convicted of a criminal offence with a prison term.
