NHS - Give more support to Young Adults

Rejected 17 signatures

What the petition asks

It is extremely worrying & stressful for anyone going into hospital, it's even worse for any young adult (aged 16-20) as whenever you go to clinic, operation or getting a referral done it's extremely difficult, as no one knows where to put you as technically you are too old for the children's ward..
...but are also too young to be in the adult ward. This is worse when you become an inpatient and they don't know which ward to put you on, and neither is ideal. You spend long periods of uncertainty being passed from departments and you are just waiting for someone to give you the help & support you desperately need. This is a petition for the NHS to give more support and structure within the NHS for Young Adults, (one way to do this would be to introduce specific young adult clinics and wards)

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure what action you'd like Government or Parliament to take to support young adults in the NHS.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking the Government or Parliament to establish specific clinics and wards for young adults, if that's what you'd like to happen.
