What the petition asks

Palm oil plantations are the main reason huge tracts of rainforest are destroyed every day, releasing huge amounts of carbon into the atmosphere. Endangered species are being pushed towards extinction. Refined palm oil also contains large amounts of harmful fatty acid esters, known to cause cancer.
