Ban UK Entry for Nigerian Government & Family for Medical & Educational visits
Rejected
11 signatures
What the petition asks
Lack of investment in education and medical facilities in Nigeria has left the majority of the populace with little or no access to basic medical care and education. A ban would encourage investment since government officials would be forced to use the service they provide in their home country.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
The Home Secretary may exclude a non-European Economic Area national from the UK if she considers their presence in the UK to be non-conducive to the public good. However, we're not sure whether you are asking for individuals to be banned from the UK completely, or only for "medical or educational visits".
If you'd like them to be banned only from making "medical or educational visits", we're not sure how those visits would be defined.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
