Petition · past parliament
End discrimination against people with MH conditions when it comes to benefits.
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Many people with mental health conditions become emotionally distressed & extremely fearful when going through the assesment process of PIP or ESA. These people are not able to work because of severe anxiety or other MH conditions. Because their disability isn't visible doesn't mean it isn't real
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We understand that you're concerned about how people with mental health conditions are treated when they are assessed for benefits, but we're not sure what action you'd like the Government or Parliament to take.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly how you would like the benefits system to be changed to support people with mental health conditions.
