What the petition asks
This petition calls on the new government to amend the Dangerous Dogs Act to remove breed specific legislation and define a dog as dangerous based entirely on its behaviour.
Thousands of dogs each year are seized under breed specific legislation, based on how they look and put away in kennels, away from their owner for months to be assessed as to whether or not they are dangerous.
