Heavily restrict access to acidic substances to reduce acid attack occurrences.

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

Heavily restrict and regulate highly acidic substances and make owning them without a permit or equivalent punishable by severe prison sentences.
An acid attack is one of the most violent and aggressive ways to violate someone, leading to extreme suffering and lifelong psychological damage.
An acid attack survivor will find it harder to be employed, harder to socialise, harder to find a partner... it's not just about the immediate pain and suffering, or the direct experience, it puts someone through a lifelong struggle.
