What the petition asks
I started work in 1971 at the age of 15, anyone approaching 60 & 65 had to retire. Work in my town was plentiful you could finish in one job and the next day you could start another if you wanted work. Work was for all people if a person had special needs they to could get paid work no bother.
We had so many manufactures clothes, wagons, chocolates, cotton, wool, carpets, cakes, leather goods, records, coal, steel, light bulbs, engineering and mail order to name just a few. In 1970 the population was 55.66 million, today it is 65,51 an increase of over 10 million, Worldmeters report. Now most of the work as been out sourced to other countriesleaving some towns and cities with little work. We need to make way for others who have yet to experience paid work, and the same opportunities.
