Cancel the £10bn for Help-to-Buy; give it to councils and allow them to build.

What the petition asks
Theresa May has today pledged £10bn (unfunded) for Help-to-Buy. This will increase housing demand, not supply, adding further to the unaffordable property bubble. It ignores the systemic issues in Britain’s housing sector and will likely help those that need it least.
We call on the government to, instead, use this £10bn to build truly affordable homes and address the fundamental issues in Britain’s provision of housing.
