What the petition asks

Our film industry is currently a subsidiary of the US film industry. US Film Companies are incentivised by the Government to produce their films in the UK through tax rebates and breaks Instead of financially supporting the US industry the Government needs to financially support it's own

The petitions asks for the establishment of a publicly owned and funded film production company that produces films which serve a public interest.
