Reduce costs of gluten-free products in Supermarkets!

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

I understand that ingredients used for gluten-free products means that they may not be able to be the same price as regular alternatives, however the prices can be so ridiculous sometimes.
Example: Warburtons Protein Wraps - £1.20
Warburtons Protein Wraps (Gluten-free) - £2.99
A gluten-free diet isn't something that the majority of people choose to live by (some do) it's more a case of having to otherwise we experience uncomfortable symptoms or we become very ill. However, some people would rather make themselves suffer everyday than pay the prices simply because they cannot afford it.
More and more people are gaining an intolerance and I think it's only fair to make it affordable to live out of discomfort if you do have one.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

This is the responsibility of supermarkets, not the UK Government or Parliament.
