Raise civil servants pension age in line with the state retirement age
Rejected
11 signatures
What the petition asks
In the light of the report that states the permanent secretary of Work and Pensions, who raised the state retirement age, is to retire at 61 we want ALL civil servants to have their pension age raised in line with the rest of the population.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
A new scheme for civil servant pensions was introduced on 1 April 2015. Under this scheme, civil servants will have a normal pension age which is linked to their state pension age. We're therefore not sure what further action you want the UK Government or Parliament to take.
