UK Holiday companies must include ‘tourist tax’ in the pricing for holidays
Rejected

What the petition asks
Some countries are charging a tourist tax, chargeable at the hotel per room. This tax even applies to EU hotels for EU citizens, which wouldn’t apply if those EU Citizens we’re visiting the countries not as tourists.
Tax per room should be included in the original holiday prices when booking and not an additional cost on arrival where the hotel can refuse the right to provide accommodation if the guest refuses to pay the tax.
If taxes are created after holiday bookings, UK holiday companies should absorb these as the holiday maker had entered into an agreement on price, at the time of booking

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
This petition is calling on holiday companies, not the Government or Parliament, to take action.
