Someone could be discriminated against for having a medical procedure done. Example kindergarten staff being dismissed or not allowed time off for having their tubes tied.

Transgendered persons are already protected which in part involves a medical procedure is already covered in the equalities act 2010 so why not cover ALL medical procedures?
The Equalities act 2010 needs to include discrimination on the ground of having and / or not having any medical procedure.

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
You could start a new petition asking for the UK Government and Parliament to make time off work for elective medical procedures a legal right, or for elective procedures to be included in the current sickness absence laws, if that's what you want to happen.
