Prevent MP's and local government from influencing the TFL licensing of UBER
Rejected

What the petition asks
We call on the Government to stop all political interference in the TFL decision to refuse a Private Hire Operators license to Uber. Their decision was based on legislation set out in the 1998 Private Hire Act.
Uber had its license refused for not being "Fit & Proper" They simply failed to meet a number of licensing requirements. This company should not be allowed special treatment and they should be forced to meet all requirements, as do the other 2,500 Private Hire Operators in London. The active interference of MPs such as Greg Hands should be stopped immediately, THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL ISSUE.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
