Hold a referendum to divert funds from leaving the EU to save the NHS instead

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

It is becoming increasing likely that leaving the EU will cost the UK billions that we could spend on our essential services.

The British people should be given the option to spend this money on what they and all major political parties believe is the most important thing. The NHS.
Every political party claims that they support the NHS and protecting it with adequate funding is a priority. The majority of votes cast in the last general election were for parties that supports the NHS and therefore this is the will of the people. Cancelling Brexit to provide funds for the NHS must be a choice given to the people

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We understand that you're concerned about funding for the NHS, but we're not sure exactly what question you'd like people to vote on in a referendum.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
