What the petition asks
On the 23rd of June 2016 the British public voted to leave the EU & ever since Michael Herseltine has campaigned against the wishes of the British public. He should be removed from the House for his anti democratic views
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We cannot accept a petition calling for a member of the House of Lords to be expelled. This site is jointly owned by the UK Government and the House of Commons, neither of which has the power to do this. Only the House of Lords has power to expel or suspend one of its members for any length of time.
