What the petition asks
As someone who has battled mental health issues for the last 20 years. I’m sick of going to my G.P. and being told there’s a minimum 3 month waiting list. This isn’t good enough. I’m requesting that a maximum wait of 30 days be instilled.
It is wrong that depending on where you live, decides how quickly you receive NHS support for mental health. It is grossly under funded and massively under resourced.
5 times in the last 10 years I have been told there is a minimum 3 month wait for help, this is in the Richmond (York’s) constituency, one of the wealthiest in the country.
So I want a maximum 30 day wait.
