Pause the rollout of Universal Credit in County Durham over Christmas.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Residents of Co. Durham declare that the Universal Credit programme is pushing people into poverty, debt and homelessness.

The petitioners therefore request that the House of Commons urges the Department for Work and Pensions to pause and fix Universal Credit before its rollout.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We're not sure whether you'd like Universal Credit to be paused only in County Durham, or across the UK.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
