What the petition asks
Trains in the UK (especially in the North) are overcrowded with the companies regularly citing new trains coming and a lack thereof as a reason for such poor service.
People are crammed in like cattle and are forced to stand within less than 30 cm of each other every day. No H/S limit is enforced.

You only need to commute on one in the morning to see this problem occur. Stations get missed, companies charge exuberant prices, people get crushed, people overheat (no air con on a lot of trains) and nothing is being done about it.
An office has a maximum limit to the persons allowed on a Health and Safety grounds, as do many other businesses and services (bus's do too). Why not trains?
