Move Liverpool’s firework displays back to their original locations

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

Sefton Park and Newsham Park Firework displays have been running for as long as I can remember. My Mum went with her Mum as a child, and I’ve been every year with my family since I was a baby.

It was a family tradition, that’s been stolen from local residents.
We’d all put on our wellies, hats and gloves and walk with torches in the dark with hundreds of other excited families. This tradition has been taken from us and after going to last years ‘River of Light’ festival we won’t be going back. Huge crowds, traffic jams, being squashed in to a small space, not being able to see a thing - not to mention the firework display itself was a complete disappointment! We then spent 3 hours walking between bus stops trying to get home in the cold. Disaster!
