Restrict use of fireworks to organised displays only

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

The use of fireworks by the public means that they can be purchased and used from mid-October until New Year every year. This causes untold distress to individuals suffering from PTSD as well as livestock and pets.
Recommended organised displays on specific days and between specific hours. Injuries and damage caused by fireworks lead to increased demand on police, fire, ambulance and hospital services. Ban the sale of fireworks to the public. Fireworks only to be at public firework displays, on specific days and between specific hours. In other parts of the world fireworks are only allowed to be purchased for use in organised firework displays.
