Make schools give reception and year 1 children asthma inhalers

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

i believe that 4-6 year olds are too young to understand and administer inhalers by themselves, I have just been told by our school that it is not policy and they must either do it themselves or a parent can come into do it.
After having this encounter with our school this morning and being told that it was the councils policy and then te receptionist saying it's covers everyone is absolutely ridiculous! She had said thy could overdose the child or give it to the wrong one the fact that all medication is named and has the dose on it so basically she is saying they are incompitant, I feel they are putting our children at risk.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a petition asking for schools to be required by law to administer asthma medication to children below the age of 7, if that's what you'd like to happen.
