Fertility issues should be treated as medical issues and not lifestyle choices
Rejected

What the petition asks
Acknowledge & support fertility issues & their related medical need as medical treatment & not lifestyle choices & change employment law to recognise them as a medical issue, not a lifestyle choice. The country is naive regarding infertility & although having a child is a choice, infertility is not.
My employer does not recognise fertility treatment as a medical requirement and although I needed medical appointments, scans, blood work & counselling sessions my employer said it was a lifestyle choice and made me take annual leave for appointments. Speaking to other suffers many employers take the same stance as well as insurance companies.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking for the UK Government and Parliament to make time off work for fertility treatment a legal right.
