What the petition asks
All EYITT (Early Years Initial Teaching Training) applicants must have 1st Degree, pass Professional Skills tests, have GCSE A-C in English, Maths and Science. These requirements are same for both EYITT and ITT courses. However the awards differ. And so does the remuneration and acknowledgement.
Furthermore the Teacher Standards for ITT (Initial Teacher Training) and EYITT are same with only subtle differences. Why not award all ITT trainees QTS when the requirements are the same disregarding the training route or area of specialism?
