Include animal sentience within the EU Withdrawal Bill
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
MPs have voted to reject the inclusion of animal sentience – the admission that animals feel emotion and pain – into the EU Withdrawal Bill. Their excuse was that animals would be covered by the Animal Welfare Act 2006, but this has no mention of sentience & only covers companion animals; pets.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
