What the petition asks
On 22nd November 2017 it was announced that, with immediate affect, stamp duty for first time buyers purchasing a property for under £300,000 would be abolished. What about all the other first time buyers who, just the day before, saved up and paid out thousands of pounds for stamp duty?
I paid £3300 stamp duty just 12 days ago! I could have delayed completion if we knew.
Why it was rejected
