Allow promotion and marketing of infant formula milk (under 6 months)
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
It came to my attention that when buying First milk formula you cannot claim any store incentives such as advantage points. I feel this is discriminating mothers that have no choice but use formula rather than breast milk.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The law on the promotion of formula milk is an EU law. You could start a new petition calling on the UK Government to work with the governments of other EU countries to change this law. Alternatively, you could start a new petition calling on the UK Government to change this law when the UK has left the European Union.
