Parents of children with chronic illnesses need legal support in the workplace
Rejected
21 signatures
What the petition asks
Children with chronic illnesses need frequent medical appointments. This means parents who work struggle to manage time off for appointments with meeting their employers' needs. The law does not protect these parents' jobs. We need the law to be changed for working parents of sick kids.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do to support parents of children with chronic illnesses. We're not sure exactly what legal rights you'd like them to have.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could call on the Government to make it a legal requirement for parents of children with chronic illnesses to have paid leave for medical appointments.
