What the petition asks
On 7 July 2017, 122 governments voted at the UN to adopt the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. Nuclear weapons have now been categorically rejected by the international community.

The new Treaty puts nuclear weapons on the same legal footing as biological weapons, chemical weapons, anti-personnel landmines and cluster munitions.
