What the petition asks
The Recall of MPs Act 2015 needs to be extended so that those MPs who go against the will of their own constituents can be recalled.
How can it be a representative democracy if our MPs are allowed to go against the will of the people who elect them to represent them?
How can it be a representative democracy if our MPs are allowed to go against the will of the people who elect them to represent them?
Failing to represent those who elect them is as much a travesty as any of the current reasons given for calling for a Recall of any of our elected representatives but at this time the Recall of MPs Act 2015 does not cover such an eventuality and those signing this petition feel that it should.
