End negociations on the merging of Christchurch with Bournemouth and Poole

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

84% of Christchurch already voted AGAINST the merge with Bournemouth and Poole in the recent postal vote.
negociations are still happening on weather to ignore the voters and merge anyway... Christchurch is my home town, and we voted, so our vote and our voices matter. if our vote is ignored then why even vote in the first place?
so this petition is for those people who voted and even those who may have missed the postal vote letter for whatever reason to say that the people of Christchurch have decided and there is absolutely no need for further negociations. thank you.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

These negotiations are the responsibilities of the councils involved, not the UK Government or Parliament.

If you'd like the Government and Parliament to reject any proposals that the councils be merged, you could start a new petition asking for that.
