Help solve Outstanding car thefts in Solihull

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

Please fund more lighting for dark car parks.
Please fund for security cameras in hotspot areas-most reported car thefts areas
My catalyst converter was stolen when my car was parked in a parking slot off road,5 days later windscreen was smashed,2 week’s later husband passenger window smashed-its too painful and we can’t afford to be replacing stuff weekly
I am now parking inside the garage, but not every household has garages

In my area all my neighbors experience car theft almost daily from breaking of windows, car wheel thefts to garage door breakings

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We're sorry to hear about the theft of your car and the distress this has caused you.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. Car park lighting and security cameras are the responsibility of car park operators and local councils.

You could raise your issue with a local councillor, who represents you. You can use this page to find out who your local councillors are, and how to contact them:
