Ban cruelty to dairy cattle & slaughter of them and their calves in the UK

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

So much milk is taken from dairy cattle that many become ill & emaciated & are slaughtered young. Calves are taken from mothers forever at 1 to 3 days old, have tails & horns removed with hot iron. Male calves are slaughtered. This should be banned & replaced with no slaughter dairies like Ahimsa
Dairy cattle are often tethered to bars in sheds all day unable to move. Scientific studies show mothers and calves are severely emotionally affected by being separated so early & forever - and negative effects such as not interacting w/ others last for their entire lives. Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

It's clear you care about the welfare of diary cattle, but it's not clear exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition asking for a specific change to the laws on keeping dairy cattle in the UK, if that's what you want to happen.
