What the petition asks
Stop the government bailing out financially struggling companies without discussing and getting approval through a vote in the house of commons after debating all the costs and benefits. Spending Public money needs to have more scrutinty.
Carillion in discussion with ministers to receive a public money bailout after taking the company into 1.5 billion debt. This should not happen without a debate in the house of commons.
