Bestow a solid commitment on the UK electorate to not hold a second referendum.

Rejected 21 signatures

What the petition asks

We, the undersigned, hereby call upon HM Government to bestow a solid commitment on the British electorate by promising to not hold a second referendum, before or shortly after our departure from the EU, on 29th March 2019, regardless on the outcome of the negotiations or a deal offered.
There will be a further corrosion of trust and disconnect between MPs and voters if this path is taken by our elected officials.
The British people are sovereign as said by Lord Adonis on LBC, our vote to leave the EU shall be acted upon and our decision implemented fully as promised by the government, who spent 9 million pound of taxpayers money on leaflets, which were then distributed to every household in the UK.
The UK referendum was touted as a once in a generation vote not a yearly vote.
