Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action. There are not enough details in the petition to know what specific action you'd like.

To start a petition about an individual case, you'll need permission from the person concerned.

We wouldn't be able to accept a petition about a case that was being appealed in a court or tribunal.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking the UK Government or Parliament to change the the law to automatically give the parents of British children indefinite leave to remain, if that's want you'd like to happen.
