Recognise crustaceans as animals in UK welfare legislation

Closed 70 signatures

What the petition asks

The UK has some of the best animal welfare laws in the world. However, the UK does not legally recognise crustaceans/decapods as animals.

Research demonstrates these animals feel pain. They should be included in the same legal protection for humane treatment as terrestrial farm animals.
