Government to pay for all car repairs caused by potholes

What the petition asks
We all pay car tax and council tax and yet our roads are left in unsafe and damaged conditions many of witch need ripping up and relaying completely which can cause serious damage to our cars. Having paid the tax, we should not have to pay for any damage to wheels, suspension, track rods, cv joints.
These roads are being reported yet only a temporary fix or not at all until such time the roads are safe to drive on with out the risk of damage the local council or government should pick up the bills.
