What the petition asks
We are calling for the government to intervene to make sure this vital transport project goes ahead
London Mayor Sadiq Khan has announced that the Metropolitan Line Extension (formerly Croxley Rail Link) to Watford Junction will now not go ahead. This is despite guarantees that the funding shortfalls would be made up by the government.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
We can't accept your petition because the issue you raise is not the responsibility of the Government or Parliament. The extension of the Metropolitan Line is the responsibility of Transport for London, which is accountable to the London Assembly.
