Change the law regarding Parental Responsibility

Tens of thousands of grandparents bringing up grandchildren in the absence of one or both parents cannot get Parental Responsibility without a tedious, expensive and often contentious court process. This applies even in cirumstances where the mother is deceased, the father shown not to be the biological father by DNA testing and not playing any part in bringing up the child concerned. Unless it would harm child to do so, Grandparents to be automatically given Parental Responsibility.
