Halt the rollout of fingerprint scanners to police

Closed 72 signatures

What the petition asks

The Home Office is beginning a trial of new fingerprint scanners with West Yorkshire Police. These scanners connect to an app on a police officer's phone, allowing quick checking of the person's fingerprints against criminal and immigration databases. This has not had any parliamentary scrutiny.
