What the petition asks
Its a known fact that Surrey Residents pay the most into central government, While we understand the whole country is facing cutbacks Surrey residents should not be paying in more to get less back. Surrey is struggling with medical services, policing, local council funding local services and more.
We are aware of more and more being asked of residents when the fact is we are already paying more in.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could ask the Government to change the way in which it decides how funding is allocated to different councils.
