What the petition asks
Debeaking is the partial removal of a chicken's beak, commonly used in the egg industry.
It has been proven that a chickens beak is highly sensitive as it is highly nervated (Davis,2004) it has also been proven chickens then have trouble eating as a result of this.

Debeaking is banned in Sweden, Finland, Norway (Picket H, 2008) Austria (The Ranger, 2014) and Denmark (Farming UK, 2015a). A ban was due to come in force in 2011 but it was postponed until 2016 and is still legal today.
