What the petition asks
At the moment, there is no definition of an MP's legal duties and obligations to their constituents. Of course, most do their jobs very well, but some do not. And at the moment, there is virtually nothing anyone can do about such 'rogue' MP's. That is why we want Parliament to:
1. Create a Constituents' Charter which will;
2. Define the legal obligations an MP has toward their constituents
3. Provide a clear legal definition of a 'legitimate' query
4. Require MPs to answer all 'legitimate' constituent queries
5. Define strict time limits for MP replies
6. Include an Independent Ombudsman for Complaints Against MPs
