Make all BBC services hidden behind an opt in paywall

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

BBC broadcasting should enforce a paywall to block and protect people who don't watch or use BBC services. A pay-to-use screen would cut off the service automatically, and provide instant relief for people fearing unintended evasion, fines, and harassment.
Sky, Netflix, and other video broadcasting services demonstrate that hiding content behind a subscription pay wall is feasible, and that people are willing to pay if the the content is worth it.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

We understand that you'd like to see changes to the way that the BBC is funded, but we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

If you'd like the TV licence fee to be abolished, you could sign this petition:

Abolish the TV Licence

Otherwise, you could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
