Reverse UK Sport decision not to fund badminton

What the petition asks

UK Sport withdrew funding from Badminton for the next Olympics and restored approximately 10% of this funding back. In contrast around 30 million of funding was given to athletes for winter sports. We petition the government to restore funding to Badminton for the next Olympics.

Badminton is the most popular indoor sports in the UK and is one of the few sports that can be played all year round in the UK. Winter sports is not a common sports in UK as the weather conditions and facilities are not conducive to it. It is limited in its availability to masses. If proper funding is available, badminton is much more likely to yield Olympics medals and also motivate the younger generation to participate in a sport that is readily available to them.
