Abolish Sharia Councils
Rejected

What the petition asks
Muslim women are discriminated against by Sharia Councils; it is time this discriminatory alternative form of justice is no longer tolerated in this country
Muslim women do not understand they can have their cases determined by British courts, and be treated as equals to men. A meeting in the house of Lords organised by the crossbench peer Baroness Cox told how Sharia Councils discriminate against Muslim women. We need to protect the vulnerable in our communities.
